In 1998 the population was given 1127,2 mln. Kvt/h of electric energy, which constitutes 64,5% of total energy consumed. The amount of energy given to the population is 4,3% more than analogous indicator of last year.

The supply of electric energy in comparison of 1997 has increased: in municipal economy - by 5,8%, civil engineering - 59,6%, industry - 10.6%, waterline - 6.3%, metropolitan - 3.9%, transport engineering - 67.3%.

In 1998 compared with 1997 the supply of electric energy to railway, air and motor transport reduced by 2.0%, trams and trolleybuses - 21.6%, social infrastructure implementation - 2.7%.

In December compared to November the amount of electric energy supplied to population increased by 25,5%.

During 1998 the Tbilgaz jointstock company has given 62.8 mln. kb. m. gas, what is more by 46.2% than the amount supplied in 1997. The transit, technological expenses and those caused by overspending constituted 29.0 mln kb. m.

During 1998 33.8 mln. kb. m. gas were given out by Tbilgaz Jointstock Company, 33.3% of which was consumed by the population (in 1998 11.3 mln. kbm of gas were given out, which is 60% more than corresponding indicators of 1997).

In the 1998 December Tbilgaz jointstock company was given 8.4 mln kbm gas more, or, 1.6 mln m3 more than previous year December. The losses constituted 5.3 mln. kbm, in December gas supply constituted 3.1 mln. kbm of gas, which is less by 0.5 kbm than analogous indicator of previous December. The amount of gas utilised by population constituted 1.2 mln kbm, which is 41.3% of the total supply.
