Green areas

   What is causing the problems

Tbilisi, as a capital of a country with the transitional economy, is undergoing considerable social-economic (and political) changes. The policy towards the development of market economy announced by the government furthers the implementation of various projects by private owners, but these processes are not properly adjusted.

As a rule, projects are not subject to the processes of due planning, consideration and agreement. As a result, the green zone is factually attacked by private "investor", which results in reduction of park and green place areas. Moreover, the result of these processes is short-, medium- and long-term losses of an investor.
